Well maybe its not really a window, but… It’s a roof, but since it offers a view of the sky, let’s think of it as a window. It’s the roof of the “San Francisco Observatory” atop Mt. Carmel in HAIFA, ISRAEL. (San Francisco, CA and Haifa, Israel are sister cities, hence the naming of the hilltop observatory)

We (wife Elena, daughter Ana and I) visited Israel for for ten days in October.
Day 1: Airport Arrival
Day 2: Tsfat, near the Sea of Galilee in the north of Israel has played a major role in the history of the Jewish religion and its spiritual essence. The city has seen great heights as well as tremendous difficulties.  Great fun to walk the old streets and visit the galleries and shops amidst the huge orthodox Jewish communities. Later we visited Capharnum a town on the Sea of Galilee where Jesus is believed to have lived and worked.

Everyone visits San Jose’s Christmas in the Park during the holiday season, even the non-Christians.  Its probably the event that San Jose does best.  The family headed to the event on Christmas Eve, expecting attendance to be sparse but there were wall-to-wall people.  Click on any thumbnail below for a  slideshow.
